Commissions
Commissioned work is frequently undertaken by Max and assistants and always involves a high level of input both technically and creatively. We are working with architects,artists and designers, advertising agencies, even geophysicists to produce a diverse range of glass solutions in all sorts of projects. The scale ranges from smaller scale multiples such as trophies and signage to large architectural works like screens and fountains.
Each project inevitably involves a unique approach where we have to navigate our way through a series of processes usually involving model and mould making, glass forming and finishing. There is a huge range of options as to how these techniques can be used and combined creating a vast range of glass qualities and forms.
Very often the making of the work is every bit as interesting as the finished piece so we have included images and descriptions of commission works in progress.
